I miss watching horror movies on your PC at Matunga house and staying over and all we did was talk about horror stories, MISSS MISSS MISSSSSS ALL OF US HANGING OUT TOGETHER AND HAVING SO SO SO MUCH FUN

Every time we came to your house when we were kids—whether it was for Rakhi or just a random get-together. And that time we all went to the water park! Ugh, there are so many memories, I can’t even choose hehe.

Family get togetherness and short trips to always remember

Sai’s friends from San Diego had plenty to say—mostly hilarious stories, somewhat questionable recollections, and just enough recountable moments to make you wonder how he gets away with half the things he does. Here’s their take on life with Sai.

Memories with Shetty: A Collection of Classic Moments

💬 Rachna reminisces:
“Shetty’s legendary methi malai mutter could rival any restaurant—it’s that good. Then there’s the way he somehow decided I was his personal dermatologist, seeking advice like it was a full-time consultation. And let’s not forget the endless debates—because, for reasons only he understands, he will defend Apple-cut t-shirts for men with the conviction of a seasoned lawyer. Some of the best chats were when he reached out for advice about girls—heart wide open, no filters, fully trusting the process.”

💃 Shreya adds:
“At my bachelor party, Shetty dancing to ‘Mi Haay Koli’ was pure entertainment—you were a treat to watch! And during Yash and Rachna’s wedding, I casually mentioned how much I loved Chinese food. Without missing a beat, he responded, ‘Are, mai shaadi pe pakka Indo-Chinese rakhunga!’🥹❤️🤌🏼 Nothing but full commitment to the bit, as always.”

📞 Yash shares:
“Shetty is the only guy who calls and immediately starts talking—zero greetings, straight into conversation. One of my favorite moments? The time he seriously asked me whether he should message the Femina Miss India winner—completely convinced she wouldn’t give him even a second of attention. And if there’s one truth we all agree on: The only person who can roast Shetty… is Shetty himself.”

Sai: The Family Constant

Sai’s in-laws and younger brother have witnessed every shade of his personality—from the relentless joker to the quiet pillar of support when it matters most. He has a way of keeping things lively, whether it’s mischievously stirring up chaos or effortlessly bringing people together.

With his brother, it’s a mix of teasing, tough love, and an unspoken loyalty that runs deep—the kind of bond where one minute they’re arguing, and the next they’re solving each other’s problems like nothing happened.

Sai’s friendships from his master’s days in Texas have stood the test of time, evolving from late-night study sessions and campus adventures to Seattle meet-ups filled with nostalgia, laughter, and plenty of mischief. Whether it’s reminiscing about their grad school struggles, debating life choices over food, or recreating their old traditions in a new city, these friendships are rooted in shared experiences, unwavering support, and a mutual understanding that no matter how much life changes, some bonds stay the same. From intense badminton matches to casual hangouts that turn into full-blown storytelling marathons, Sai’s Seattle crew isn’t just a group of friends—it’s a continuation of the memories they started building years ago.

Kabhi nahi bhoolne wala hu tera pehla birthday party.. lol. (Shetty mere sir pe hath rakh ke kasam khata hai ki iss duniya mera tere alawa koi nahi hai, naa maa, naa baap. Please mere sath birthday night spend karega mere ghar hi ruk ke lol…

There are countless fun memories we have with you, I can’t choose one. You bring the “fun” everywhere we go, whether it’s during acting like a mom in a murder mystery or memorizing a song with me that annoys others “without idli…” and “baaki sab theek?” or thinking your car got stolen but you just forgot you parked it somewhere (hhaha jkjk)

Outback steakhouse ✌🏼😂 I still dream about those ribs

When I joined this group he was the first person who genuinely wanted to be my friend and didn’t want to connect because i am someone’s gf

Having a buddy to always go and have steak!!! No one else can ever be a better partner to randomly decide on a weekday evening to have steak!! (We should definitely do it sometime soon)

One of my favorite memories with Shetty is when he played “Mama Roni” at Shweta’s birthday. The way he acted was so funny and unforgettable! Another memory I will always cherish is the jelly ball fight we had lol I still remember how hard you hit me with those jelly balls!

Stoned Shetty in Colorado — Shetty was lost in the clouds the whole trip after he discovered weed. From sunrise to sunset, he was either sleeping off the edibles or zoning out to watch ants form a line.. It was on a spiritual journey for him, powered by edibles.

There are way too many memories to pick from — and somehow, I’m fond of almost all of them (Let’s just agree to forget the bad ones, okay?)
Like when you let me drive your precious car even though I was basically a danger on wheels, or when you stepped into my house-turned-art-exhibit for ‘How to Live in a Dumpster’ and pretended not to judge (only to tell everyone later, of course).
All those nights spent watching games, ranting about life — you’ve truly been my unofficial therapist, cheerleader, and partner-in-crime.
And hey, you even set me up with the love of my life! Honestly, you’ve outdone yourself.

That night with Shetty and Pandey🥲

He was leading the team in Jelly ball, asking people to not shoot from close range. Guess who did the most shooting in close range!!

I haven’t spent much time with Shetty yet, so I don’t really have any special or funny memories. But I’m sure we’ll create some lovely memories together in the future. Happy Birthday to him!💜

Some new friends and old

One of my favorite memories with him is from our time in Dubai. We had just 15 hours, but we made the most of every moment. And I’m sure there are many more unforgettable memories to come.

School & College: The Friendships That Shaped Him

Sai’s friendships from school and his bachelor’s days are woven into the fabric of who he is, built on years of ridiculous adventures, questionable decisions, and the kind of loyalty that withstands distance and time. From early school mischief that got them collectively into trouble to endless college debates that somehow never had a real conclusion, these friendships are more than just memories—they’re lifelong connections shaped by growing up together. Whether it was sporting rivalries that never actually mattered or epic moments that no outsider would believe, Sai’s childhood and college friends know every version of him, and no matter how much time passes, those bonds still feel just as strong.

We had tons of fun memories back at UTA. But my favorite one is him and I standing in front of Arbor Oaks and him giving me long speeches of why I should date Akshay! Lol. And of-course throwing me in UTA pool knowing I don’t know swimming 🙄 on my Birthday 🫠

Unforgettable Moments with Shetty

🏆 Alex recalls:
“Too many to list them all, but the chaos of helping him manage the class dance—only to do it again every year—was a tradition in itself. And of course, we won them all. No surprises there.”

💃 Mrudula reflects on their journey:
“So many memories over the past 13 years—Euphoria dance, sangeet performances, sports events, badminton in Seattle, IV trips, and endless roaming in the US. But one of the fondest? Sai making sure to record Alex surprising me in Tarkarli. A small but incredibly thoughtful gesture—exactly the kind of thing Shetty would do.”

🎭 Neha remembers their balance of intensity and fun:
“Zoning out while he passionately explains exercises and fitness, only for us to shift seamlessly into passionate gossip sessions. And, of course, his dance lessons for Mru and Alex’s sangeet—an experience in itself.”

🚗 Gautam grins at the memory:
“His animated retelling of the great car retrieval saga—because if Shetty’s telling the story, you know it’s going to be a performance.”

Every anecdote speaks to the depth of his relationships and the joy he brings into the world. These moments, told through the eyes of those who know him best, capture not just who he is but why he matters so deeply to so many.

Sai isn’t just a friend, a brother, or a partner—he’s the kind of person whose presence turns everyday life into something worth celebrating. And as these stories show, that’s a legacy that will always live on.
